What do I need to bring with me on my trip?
The gear and licenses you need depend on the type of trip you book. For hunting, you'll need to bring all required legal documents, including your PAL (Possession and Acquisition License), proof of completing the Hunter Safety Course, and any applicable tags or stamps. Only proven safe firearms and ammunition are allowed — no prohibited or restricted firearms.
For fishing trips, a valid fishing license is required. We’ll let you know ahead of time if there’s anything else you should bring based on the species you're targeting or the season. If you're ever unsure, just ask — we’re here to help you prepare!
Where do we hunt?
Our hunts take place on a mix of private and public land within a 30-minute radius of Barrie, Ontario. We have access to over 1,000 acres of private land and more than 10,000 acres of public hunting territory, offering a variety of environments and game. Each location is carefully selected based on the season, species, and your hunting goals to give you the best chance of success.
How long is the hunt/fishing trip?
Each guided hunt and fishing trip typically lasts 5 hours, giving you plenty of time to experience the best of what the land or water has to offer. Before we head out, there’s a 30-minute to 1-hour safety and strategy briefing, where we review the game plan, regulations, and ensure everyone is fully prepared for the experience.
Do I need to have experience to book a trip?
Not at all. Our trips are fully guided and beginner-friendly. Whether it’s your first hunt or you’re an experienced angler, we’ll tailor the experience to your comfort level and make sure you feel confident and prepared every step of the way.
Can I bring my own dog for training or hunting?
Yes! If you’re interested in training, we offer flexible programs where you can drop off your dog or stay for sessions. If you’d like your dog involved in a hunt, just let us know in advance so we can make sure the environment is safe and suitable.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety is always our top priority. Some trips, like ice fishing or certain hunts, are weather-dependent. If conditions aren’t safe or ideal, we’ll either reschedule your trip or offer alternative options. We stay in close communication leading up to your booking so there are no surprises — just great experiences.
